WE HAVE ARRIVED IN SUZHOU~~!

So it was about a 5 to 6 hour flight on China Eastern Airways from Singapore to Shanghai. We arrived at around 4+ pm and boarded the bus to Suzhou, another 2 hours ride. By the time we got to our hostel lobby it was around 7+ pm and some of the students from the university who were to be our buddies for the next few days welcomed us! They were really friendly and spoke good English! :) And lucky for us, there was free wifi at the lobby!!! :D

Terminal 3 is really big and beautiful <3

The food on the airline was good! (Y) And I slept throughout most of the journey, so did the rest haha. Oh, and they were showing “My Kingdom” on the TV, HANGENG~~~ :3
The exterior of the hostel looks really grand, almost like a hotel! But the inside.. There are many apartments, and unfortunately for my group & another, we got an apartment that was on a level much higher than the others and way isloated. Moreover, our room was so much more cramp, dark, dirty and smelly compared to the others. There was dust and stains everywhere, it was as if our room had been vacant for years :S It was really creepy, even if I tried not to overthink, I couldn’t shake off the idea in my mind. In addition, each apartment’s front door had the “福” word on it, there’s a purpose for it right? But thankfully, our teacher was so nice that she invited us to stay in her hotel room because she had a double-layered queen sized bed. Her room was pretty big for one person, just enough for the 4 of us, and it was so clean, exactly like a hotel room. Phew!

Exterior of the hostel, apparently it’s a hotel?

Bunking in our teacher’s room! It’s really very nice though you can’t see it from here! She’s sleeping already, haha but she still responds when we talk!
Anyway, around our hostel area, there are lots of shops! Food and necessities are all easily available! There’s also a 24-hour KFC and bakery! YAY US! :) Oh, for dinner, though we wanted to try local food, but their menus were pretty hard to read. Aside from the fact that it was all in Chinese, there were just lots and lots of words on the menu and it was hard to decide what to eat. In the end, we just decided to eat something familiar first, hence, KFC.

Well, that’s it for now! I’ll be taking more shots tomorrow since it’ll be nicer in the day! :) Oh yes, and the weather here is great! HEHE! Alright, goodnight!!
